Kicking off our list is the highly anticipated romantic comedy, "Quick Assignment." The movie follows Remmy (Mercy Macjoe), an illegal immigrant trying to make ends meet in America, who ignores the advances of a responsible businessman (Emma Odele) and instead falls for a good-looking fraudster (Gbenro Ajibade) who leads her down the wrong path. Shot in New York by director Ibrahim Thompson Omodada, "Quick Assignment" promises a heartwarming rib-cracking television experience.

2. Ecstasy (Movie)

Release Date: July 21, Accelerate TV Plus

Ghana collides with Nigeria in this dramatic thriller that we can only describe as one heck of a rollercoaster ride. "Ecstasy" tells the story of a cabman who tries to help a drug addict get clean but falls in love with her in the process. It stars US-based Ghanaian actor, Samuel Bravo, and Nollywood sweetheart, Lillian Afegbai, who shows off her acting chops by playing a drug addict, and it's glorious to watch! Produced by Samuel Bravo and directed by Phil Bernard Efe, the movie made its streaming debut in July on Accelerate TV Plus and is still available to stream throughout this month!

3. Mafialliance (Series)

If you are a fan of fast-paced novellas that leave you at the edge of your seat, then "Mafialliance" is a series that should be on your queue this month. The show revolves around a young lady (Tofunmi) in her mid-twenties who only wants to lead a happy life and provide for her loved ones, but faces daunting battles in her career and must make an alliance if she wants to succeed. 4. Violet (Movie)

In case you missed its premiere on Africa Magic Urban in the month of June, you can catch repeat airings of "Violet" on your television screen this August. It's that good! The film revolves around Temi (Sambasa Nzeribe), who is on the verge of tying the knot with his long time girlfriend Renny (Ruth Nkweti), but inexplicably changes his mind when he meets a blind lady named Violet (Etinosa Idemudia), to the alarm and horror of his controlling mother (Tina Mba). Produced and directed by Banji Oyemaja, the movie is a heartwarming romantic drama about unconditional love in the face of diverse challenges.

5. Mr & Mrs Robert (Movie)

Last but definitely not the least on our list is a movie we can only describe as a slice of heaven. "Mr & Mrs Robert" is a romantic comedy full of "God-when" moments, and is perfect for a date night, family night, or a night alone on your sofa. It follows the story of Temisan and Ima, who have a great marriage but go through an unexpected series of negative events as a result of a decision to support their family. The hilarious movie boasts of a star-studded cast including Kunle Remi, Inem King, and Blessing Jessica Obasi, with a special cameo appearance by recently crowned Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci.
