You may recall in a August 2020 post that we reported that superstar actress Mercy Macjoe had gained admission into the prestigious New York Film Academy to hone her already amazing skills as an actress. Well, it looks like this hasn't stopped her from bagging acting gigs abroad. Macjoe is set to make her much awaited return to the silver screen in the upcoming Ella Emiefele flick, Quick Assignment.
The film was shot in the United States in 2020, shortly after the actress arrived to further her studies. TWS Distribution acquired the distribution rights to the film in March 2022 and it is scheduled for release later this year. The star-studded cast includes Gbenro Ajibade (Tinsel) and Emma Odele.
Quick Assignment follows the story of Remmy (played by Macjoe), an illegal immigrant trying to make ends meet in America, who ignores the advances of a responsible businessman (Emma Odele) and falls instead for a good-looking fraudster (Gbenro Ajibade) who leads her down the wrong path. It was produced by Ella Emiefele and directed by Ibrahim Thompson Omodada.
